I recently met up with an "old friend" from my early childhood. I think some of you might remember my parents old friends Roland and Lorri Ochoa. Well, recently when a couple of my friends and I were at the YMCA I saw a very cute red-headed boy who I thought I recognized. Well, he was with some of his friends and so I listened for a name and as soon as I heard "Ryan" I realized how I knew him! It was Ryan Ochoa, my buddy from like 10 years ago (pretty crazy I recognized him after that long)! So, I looked him up on Myspace, got his number and texted him. This was like a couple of weeks ago. I told my parents and they thought it was pretty funny :) Anyways, we've hungout quite a few times since and he is SO funny and nice! Our parents have also done some catching up :) I just thought it was pretty funny that we like reunited :) so I'd say we are pretty good friends now and guess what?! He's REALLY cute! :D Here are some pictures of us as babies and ltttle kids, haha.

Oregon

My family and I got an AWESOME invite about a week ago. Our neighbors Nikki and Tara invited us to go to the Oregon coast with them and their two kids at NO COST to us, pretty generous, huh? They rented a beach house that we are all going to stay in, IT'S HUGE! We are leaving on Wednesday the 26th after everyone gets off work and will arrive there at like 3 in the morning. We'll be staying until Sunday the 30th and drive back early that morning and then on Monday we have school! We are all SO excited because this will be our first real family vacation (not counting our couple of day trips to Lagoon over the past few years). I am ESPECIALLY excited because I've never even been to the ocean! Here are some pictures of the house we are staying at, and I'm sure there will be MANY more pictures once we get back! :)

My Basketball Career :)

Basketball is basically my passion in life, it is the best feeling to just get onto the court and everything else that is going on in my life seems to just go away. Here are some cool pictures from my 2008-2009 AAU season.

FIRST POST!

So, I have decided to start a blog to keep everyone updated on events in the Gauby family. Well, actually I'm mainly doing it because everyone else in my extended family is. Now, this blog may be a little different because it's not the "woman of the house" who is narrating it (because the woman in my house happens to be quite technologically challenged) it is me, Caitlin, the wonderful, beautiful, intelligent, 14-year-old, middle child of the Gauby family :) SO, everything will be posted in my point of view and will be my opinions, which I'm sure is VERY different from the others who live in this household. Also, since I am only a teenager I am not making any promises about how often things on here will be updated, after all, I have a life outside of my boring old family.
